Faculty Honors R-Z

Karen Richman, director of Migration and Border Studies in the Institute for Latino Studies, was awarded the Robert F. Hezier Prize for the best article in 2008 in the field of Ethnohistory from the American Society for Ethnohistory for her article, “Innocent Imitations? Mimesis and Alterity in Haitian Vodou Art,” published in Ethnohistory 55, No. 2 (2009): 203–28.   Robert F. Heizer Prize, awarded by American Society for Ethnohistory for best 2008 journal article in the field of ethnohistory. Awarded October 2009. Appointed Editor, Anthropology of Religion Section, American Anthropological Association.  2009-2011.

Donald E. Sporleder, FAIA, professor of architecture emeritus, was re-elected Vice President of the St Joseph County Parks Foundation at the 29 January 2010, Foundation Board  Meeting.  Sporleder was also re-appointed to the Trails Advisory Board, Indiana Department of Natural Resources, on February 18, 2010 for a three year term through March 2013.    He currently serves as chairman of the Trails Advisory Board.  H was also re-elected Chairman of the Trails Advisory Board, Indiana Department of Natural Resources, at the March 4, 2010 meeting of the Board at the Government Center in Indianapolis.  Sporleder was also re-elected President of the Town of Roseland Park and Recreation Board at the March 9, 2010 meeting of the Board in Roseland.
